Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- oil
- grated carrots - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- sifted flour - 2 c
- margarine
How to make carrot cake:
Icing:1/2 c. margarine1 lb. powdered sugar8 oz. cream cheese1 tsp. vanilla Combine oil and sugar; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well. Add carrots and nuts. Pour into floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350°.Frosting: Beat margarine and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well and spread on top of cake when cake is cool.
