Ingredients/Components
- plain flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- sugar - 2 c
- grated carrots - 2 c
- lemon peel - 1 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- Crisco oil
- eggs - 4 item
- orange peel - 2 Tbsp
- Icing:1 stick margarine
- chopped nuts
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
How to make carrot cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine1 1/2 c. chopped nuts2 tsp. vanilla8 oz. cream cheese1 lb. powdered sugar Mix dry ingredients together. Add oil, eggs and carrots. Pour into 2 (9-inch) cake or tube pans. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.For icing, cream the margarine with cream cheese; add powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in nuts. Spread on cooled cake.
