Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 3/4 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- plain flour - 2 c
- small can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- Add eggs
- unbeaten eggs - 4 item
- fine grated carrots - 3 c
How to make carrot cake:
Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs. Cream until soft. Sift flour and measure and sift dry ingredients. Add to other ingredients and mix well. Fold in grated carrots and nuts. Cook 35 minutes at 275° in 3 round pans.Frosting:1 box powdered sugar1/2 stick butter1 small can crushed pineapple8 oz. cream cheese2 tsp. vanilla Allow butter and cream cheese to get to room temperature.
