Ingredients/Components
- Wesson oil
- sugar - 2 c
- egg yolks - 4 item
- water - 4 Tbsp
- finely grated carrots
- self-rising flour
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- pecans, finely chopped - 2/3 c
- Filling:1 large can milk
- stick margarine - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- can coconut - 1 item
How to make carrot cake:
Filling:1 large can milk3 egg yolks1 c. sugar1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans1 can coconut For cake, mix all ingredients, then fold in 4 stiffly beaten egg whites.For filling, mix milk, butter, egg yolks and sugar. Cook until thick, over low heat. Let cool, then add vanilla, coconut and nuts.
