  • milk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • large eggs - 5 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • butter flavoring - 1 tsp
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • butter or oleo - 1 c
  • box dark brown sugar - 1 item

How to make caramel pound cake:

Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift the flour and baking powder together. Add alternately with milk. Add flavoring and nuts. Put into a greased and floured tube pan; bake at 350° for about 1 1/2 hours.
