Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- nuts optional - 1 c
- butter flavoring - 1 tsp
- white sugar - 1 c
- butter or oleo - 1 c
- box dark brown sugar - 1 item
How to make caramel pound cake:
Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift the flour and baking powder together. Add alternately with milk. Add flavoring and nuts. Put into a greased and floured tube pan; bake at 350° for about 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
