Caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- popped popcorn
How to make caramel popcorn:
Place popped popcorn in a large well-greased pan. In large, heavy saucepan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Boil for 5 minutes over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and soda. Pour syrup over popcorn, mixing well. Place popcorn on well-greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. When cool enough to handle, separate kernels. Store covered.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Grains.
