Caramel pear pudding cake
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- granulated sugar - 2/3 c
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- boiling water - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- dash of ground cloves - 1 item
- ice cream or whipped cream - 1 item
- pears, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces about 4 medium - 2 c
How to make caramel pear pudding cake:
In large bowl, stir together first six ingredients. Add milk, beating until smooth. Stir in pears and pecans. Turn into ungreased, 2-quart casserole.In separate bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water. Pour over batter. Bake in 375° oven for 45 minutes. Serve immediately with ice cream or whipped cream. Makes 8 servings.
