Caramel nut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/2 lb
- shortening - 1/2 c
- box light brown sugar - 1 item
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- large eggs or 6 medium ones - 5 item
- flour - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sweet milk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts or chopped walnuts - 1 c
How to make caramel nut pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar. Beat well. Now, add granulated sugar and mix until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well each 3 minutes. Add milk and vanilla and mix. Mix nuts. Save 1/2 cup. Add flour before adding nuts. Bake in pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325°. Line pan in wax paper.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
