  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • box light brown sugar - 1 item

How to make caramel nut pound cake:

Cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Combine baking powder, flour and salt and add to mix alternately with milk. Add vanilla and chopped nuts. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°.
