Ingredients/Components
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped corn - 8 qt
- light brown sugar - 2 c
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make caramel corn:
Mix sugar, syrup and butter in a heavy pan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add soda, salt and cream of tartar. Pour immediately over popped corn. Mix lightly but well. Place in a large roaster pan. Bake at 200° for 1 hour. Stir once while baking. Pour on waxed paper and separate.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
