Ingredients/Components
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- light brown sugar - 2 c
- peanuts optional - 1 c
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
- popped corn in large roaster pan - 8 qt
How to make caramel corn:
Cook the sugar, corn syrup and butter over medium heat until soft ball stage, stirring often. Remove from heat. Add soda and cream of tartar (will get foamy). Drizzle syrup over popcorn, stirring to coat each kernel. Put in 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring often. Store in airtight container.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
