Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 c
- 1 lb - 2 c
- Karo syrup light - 3/4 c
- Rice Chex cereal - 4 c
- Wheat Chex cereal - 4 c
- jar dry roasted peanuts - 1 item
- unpopped, popped in air popper
How to make caramel corn:
Melt last three ingredients and boil 5 minutes; add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Pour over mixture of dry ingredients and bake in a 250° oven for 1 hour on cookie sheets or oven racks that have been lined with aluminum foil. Cool in large bowl or countertop which has been sprayed with Pam. Occasionally break up mixture as it cools.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
