Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 lb
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- popped corn - 5 6
- peanuts - 1 c
- white corn syrup - 1/2 c
How to make caramel corn:
In saucepan, boil brown sugar, butter and corn syrup for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add vanilla, salt and baking soda; blend. Pour over popcorn and mix well. Add peanuts and mix again. Place in large pan and bake 40 minutes in 250° oven. Stir about every 10 minutes. Place on wax paper or large cookie sheet and allow to cool.
