Caramel corn



  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • margarine - 1 c
  • light corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • nuts optional - 1 c
  • popped corn - 6 qt
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
  • packed light brown sugar - 2 c

How to make caramel corn:

In a large saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the baking soda and nuts. Beat down and pour over the popcorn in a large mixing pan. Stir until all corn is coated. P
