Caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
- oleo - 1 c
- white corn syrup - 1/2 c
- peanuts dry roasted - 1 c
How to make caramel corn:
Put the popped corn and peanuts in a large roaster. Set aside. Mix the oleo, brown sugar and corn syrup on medium-high heat. Stir often. Bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon soda and mix well. Pour over corn and nuts; mix well. Put in a 250° oven for 45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes. Dump on wax paper.
