Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar
- butter - 1 c
- lite corn syrup - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
- popped corn - 8 10
How to make caramel corn:
Bring to a boil the sugar, butter and corn syrup. Cook 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and add cream of tartar and baking soda. Pour over corn and stir until well coated. Pour mixture in 2 cookie sheets and bake 1 hour at 200°. Stir every 15 minutes. It should be crunchy.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
