Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
- light brown sugar - 2 c
How to make caramel corn:
Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 260°. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour mixture over popped corn in large roasting pan. Stir until well coated. Bake for 1 hour at 200°, stirring 3 or 4 times.
