Caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- popped corn - 8 qt
- light brown sugar - 2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- white corn syrup - 1/2 c
- pinch of cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make caramel corn:
Keep popped corn warm. Mix sugar, syrup and butter in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add soda, cream of tartar and salt.Immediately pour over corn and mix thoroughly. Place in large roaster pan. Bake at 200° for 1 hour. Pour on waxed paper and separate grains (very good).
