Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • popped corn - 7 qt

How to make caramel corn:

Cook brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn, tossing well. Spread on greased baking sheet. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Stir while cooling. Store in airtight container.
