Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 lb
- white corn syrup - 1/2 c
- to 6 quarts of popped corn - 5 item
How to make caramel corn:
Fill a large roasting pan with 5 to 6 quarts of popped corn. Using another cooking pan, prepare sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Boil 5 minutes; remove from heat. Add vanilla, salt and soda. Blend and pour over popcorn, mixing well. Place in 250° oven for 40 minutes. Stir often from the bottom. Spread on wax paper to cool.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
