Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popcorn, popped - 6 qt
How to make caramel corn:
In a large pot, cook sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt until boiling. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add baking soda and vanilla. Stir to mix. Pour syrup over popcorn in a large bowl. Toss to coat. Pour popcorn on 2 cookie sheets and bake at 200° for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. When done, spread popcorn out to cool.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
