Ingredients/Components
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- c toffee bits - 1 item
- vanilla frosting
- c caramel sauce - 1/2 item
- sliced almonds - 1 item
How to make caramel cake:
1) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10 cup bundt pan. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using pound - cake variation (add instant pudding and an extra egg). Stir in toffee bits and pour evenly into pan, Bake 55 to 65 minutes, cool 10 minutes in pan. Invert cake onto a wire rack and cool completely.2) Transfer cake to a serving plate. In microwave, heat vanilla frosting 20 seconds. Stir in caramel sauce. Pour frosting around top of cake, allowing to drip down sides. Let set 10 minutes. To make flowers, gently press almond slices into frosting in small circles. Place M & M's in centers.
