Caramel apple salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar
- miniature marshmallows - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- dry roasted peanuts
- tub Cool Whip - 1 (8
- large can chunk pineapple - 1 item
- unpeeled apples, diced - 2 c
How to make caramel apple salad:
Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Mix chunks with marshmallows and put in refrigerator overnight. In a small pan, mix pineapple juice, sugar, flour, egg and vinegar. Cook until thick over medium heat. Cool overnight in refrigerator.The next day, mix together. Fold in Cool Whip. Add apples and peanuts. Let stand in refrigerator until serving time.
