Candy apples

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• light corn syrup - 1/2 c
• cinnamon red hot candies - 1/4 c
• small MacIntosh apples - 8 item

How to make candy apples:

In a heavy deep 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat sugar, corn syrup, candies, 1 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring to boil. Cook without stirring to 290° about 20 minutes.

Swirl each apple in hot syrup to coat. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
