Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- cinnamon red hot candies - 1/4 c
- small MacIntosh apples - 8 item
How to make candy apples:
In a heavy deep 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat sugar, corn syrup, candies, 1 cup water and 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring to boil. Cook without stirring to 290° about 20 minutes.Swirl each apple in hot syrup to coat. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
