Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 2 tsp
- dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
- medium sweet potatoes - 6 item
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Peel potatoes and boil 20 minutes. They should not be too soft. Half in lengthwise; place in baking dish. In a pan boil together the butter, water, corn syrup and brown sugar. Pour syrup mixture over potatoes and baste often. Bake at 350° for 1 hour until glazed.Just bring the syrup to a good boil or if boiled long, it will turn to candy.
