Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- medium sweet potatoes - 6 item
- or 6 marshmallows - 5 item
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Wash and boil sweet potatoes in enough water to cover until just tender. As soon as they are cool enough, peel and cut in 1/2-inch slices. Place in buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar and salt. Dot with butter. Bake at 375° about 30 minutes. Top with marshmallows the last 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Yam/sweet potato.
