Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- salt to taste - 1 item
- sweet potatoes - 8 item
- 1/2 sticks butter - 1 item
- to 3/4 small bottle Log Cabin syrup - 1/2 item
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Peel, cut up and boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with electric mixer, adding 1 stick butter. Put into a buttered casserole. Pour syrup on top and cut into potatoes with knife. Top with 1/2 stick of butter, cut into pats. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until potatoes start to brown around the sides.
