Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- firmly packed dark brown sugar - 1/4 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- dark Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- sweet potatoes - 6 item
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Boil potatoes about 20 minutes; drain, cool and peel. Cut in half lengthwise. In large skillet, stir sugar, margarine and syrup. Arrange potatoes on top (cut side down). Cook over low heat basting occasionally or until potatoes are well glazed.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Yam/sweet potato.
