Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • pecan halves
  • white Karo syrup - 1 tsp
  • milk plus 4 drops red food coloring - 1/2 c

How to make candied pecans:

In a 2-quart saucepan mix sugar, milk, Karo and salt. Cook to soft ball stage, 238°. Add nuts and stir until creamy. Quickly turn out on waxed paper and separate with fork.
