Candied carrots



  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • medium carrots - 1 doz
  • boiling salted water - 1 item

How to make candied carrots:

Scrape carrots and cut into strips. Cook in boiling water 10 minutes or until tender. Drain well. Melt butter, sugar and allspice. Stir until well blended. Place carrots in baking dish. Pour sauce over and bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
