Ingredients/Components

  • packed light brown sugar - 1/4 c
  • 1/2 stick butter - 1/4 c
  • baby carrots - 2 lb
  • dash of ground nutmeg optional - 1 item

How to make candied carrots:

Cook carrots in enough water to cover them until crisp and tender, about 10 minutes. Drain. Melt butter in saucepan. Add carrots. Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
