  • dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 3/4 c
  • jar chopped pimiento, drained - 1 oz
  • chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • can cream-style corn - 1 1/2
  • celery salt
  • medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • can sliced ripe olives, drained - 1 1/4
  • shredded Cheddar - 2 c
  • can condensed tomato soup undiluted - 1 3/4
  • wide egg noodles, cooked and drained - 8 oz
  • can mushrooms undrained - 1 oz
  • can tomatoes with green chilies undrained - 1 oz

How to make california casserole:

In a large skillet, cook ground beef with green pepper and onion until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender; drain. Add the next 11 ingredients; mix thoroughly. Add noodles, mix well. Pour into a Dutch oven or large baking dish. Cover; bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts. Yields 12 to 16 servings.
