Ingredients/Components
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- jar chopped pimiento, drained - 1 oz
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 2 lb
- can cream-style corn - 1 1/2
- celery salt
- medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- can sliced ripe olives, drained - 1 1/4
- shredded Cheddar - 2 c
- can condensed tomato soup undiluted - 1 3/4
- wide egg noodles, cooked and drained - 8 oz
- can mushrooms undrained - 1 oz
- can tomatoes with green chilies undrained - 1 oz
How to make california casserole:
In a large skillet, cook ground beef with green pepper and onion until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender; drain. Add the next 11 ingredients; mix thoroughly. Add noodles, mix well. Pour into a Dutch oven or large baking dish. Cover; bake at 350° for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Return to the oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
