Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • dry mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • catsup - 1/2 c
  • can pork and beans - 1 item
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • onions, chopped - 2 item
  • can kidney beans - 1 item
  • can butter beans - 1 item
  • can lima beans - 1 item
  • bacon, diced - 1/2 lb

How to make calico beans:

Cook together hamburger, bacon and onions; drain. Add vinegar, brown sugar, salt, mustard and catsup. Drain all the beans slightly. Add to meat mixture and mix thoroughly. Bake 1 hour in 9 x 13-inch pan or large casserole dish at 350°.
