Cajun shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 qt
- large lemon, sliced - 1 item
- unpeeled large shrimp - 4 lb
- vegetable oil - 2 c
- hot sauce - 1/4 c
- minced garlic - 1 Tbsp
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- salt
- seafood seasoning
- dried basil
- dried oregano
- dried thyme
- minced parsley
How to make cajun shrimp:
Bring water and lemon to a boil. Add shrimp. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Drain well. Rinse with cold water. Chill. Peel and devein shrimp. Place shrimp in a large heavy-duty Ziploc. Combine vegetable oil and remaining ingredients. Stir well and pour over shrimp. Seal bag. Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours.
