Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onion - 1 item
- small head cabbage - 1 item
- can kidney beans - 1 oz
- smoked sausage - 1 lb
- cans Italian style stewed tomatoes - 2 oz
- Chili-O - 1 pkg
How to make cabbage soup:
Brown and drain ground beef. Slice sausage 1/2-inch thick. Core and slice cabbage 1/2-inch thick. Peel and slice onion 1/4-inch thick. Open tomatoes and mash, check for and remove hard stem pieces.In large soup pot, add 2 quarts of water and bring to a boil. Put in cabbage and Chili-O; cook 10 minutes. Add everything else and simmer 1 hour. Enjoy!
