Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- large green pepper - 1 item
- red pepper - 1 item
- white vinegar - 1 c
- mustard seed - 1 tsp
- large head cabbage - 1 item
- large onions - 2 item
How to make cabbage salad:
Slice cabbage long but not fine. Also, slice peppers and onions in rings. Mix together. Mix and heat the following to boiling and pour over the cabbage mixture: sugar, celery seed, pepper, white vinegar, salt and mustard seed. Cover and store in refrigerator. This will keep a long time.Variation: Two or three carrots.
