Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 tsp
- butter - 2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- onion - 2 tsp
- 2 can tomatoes
- small cabbage - 1 item
How to make cabbage rolls:
Sauce:1 (No. 2) can tomatoes1 tsp. onion1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. sugar2 tsp. butter2 tsp. flour1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Trim and remove core. Cover with boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes or longer. Separate and keep 5 leaves. Combine meat with onion, egg, milk and salt. Place 1/5 of meat mixture on leaf and fold. Fasten with toothpicks. Lay flap down in saucepan. Add 1/2 cup of water and cover rolls with rest of cabbage leaves. Mix sauce ingredients and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
