Ingredients/Components

  • vinegar - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • shredded cabbage - 10 c
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
  • dried crushed red pepper optional - 1/4 tsp
  • can tomatoes, chopped liquid reserved - 1 oz

How to make cabbage goulash:

In a large kettle, brown sausage, beef and onion; drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients except cabbage; mix well. Stir in cabbage and simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Yields 10 to 12 servings.
