Cabbage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- chili sauce - 3 Tbsp
- head cabbage - 1/2 item
- Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
How to make cabbage casserole:
Combine cabbage and water in large saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes; drain well. Place cabbage wedges in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour, stirring well until thickened. Add salt and pepper. Pour sauce over cabbage. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Combine cheese, mayonnaise, chili sauce, onion and green pepper; mix.
