Buttery peanut brittle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1 c
- raw peanuts - 2 c
How to make buttery peanut brittle:
Heat and stir first 3 ingredients until sugar dissolves. Add butter. Stir often after 230°. Add peanuts at 280° and stir constantly to 305°. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in soda, mixing well. Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets. Stretch thin by lifting and pulling edges with forks. Loosen from pans as soon as possible. Break up.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, < 30 mins.
