- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder
- all-purpose flour
- cornmeal - 1 c
- butter/margarine, softened - 2/3 c
How to make buttery corn bread:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Combine the eggs and milk. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with egg mixture. Pour into a greased 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 400° for 22-27 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cut into squares; serve warm.
