Butterscotch pie
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 c
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make butterscotch pie:
Mix all dry ingredients well. Gradually add enough milk to make a paste. Add well beaten egg yolks. Add remainder of milk. Cook slowly, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. When thickened, remove from heat and add margarine and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue and brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
