Butterscotch frosting
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- milk or cream - 2 Tbsp
How to make butterscotch frosting:
Melt butter in pan and add brown sugar. Cook until sugar is melted, stirring constantly. Remove from fire and add milk and vanilla. Mix. Add confectioners sugar and mix thoroughly. A little more sugar or milk may be added if necessary to gain the right consistency to spread on cake, or if a little more frosting is needed.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cake fillings and frostings.
