- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- butter or other shortening - 1 c
How to make butterscotch cookies:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into creamed mixture. Add nuts. Form dough into rolls 1 1/2-inches in diameter and wrap in waxed paper.
