Butterscotch brownies
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 2/3 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sifted flour - 1 c
How to make butterscotch brownies:
Cream butter and brown sugar; beat egg and add to mixture, stirring to blend. Sift flour, measure and resift with baking powder. Add to other mixture, then add nuts. Turn batter into 8-inch square buttered pan and bake in a slow oven (300°) for 25 minutes, until brown. Cut squares. Makes 12 or 16 squares.Especially good for someone who cannot eat chocolate!!
