- buttermilk - 2 c
- chopped nuts optional - 1 c
- container Cool Whip - 8 oz
- can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup - 1 1/2
How to make buttermilk salad:
Mix pineapple (juice and all) with dry Jell-O in a saucepan. Cook 5 minutes, turning down heat and covering when it comes to a boil. Chill. When cool, add buttermilk, nuts and Cool Whip. Mix ingredients together. Pour into 9 x 13-inch container that's been sprayed with Pam. Refrigerate overnight.Recipe categories: Low protein, Salads, Side dish.
