  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • plain flour - 3 c

How to make buttermilk pound cake:

Cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each. Add milk and vanilla. Mix flour and soda and add to mixture. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
