Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 4 tsp
- cornmeal - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- thin breasts and thigh fillets - 1 pkg
How to make buttermilk fried chicken:
Combine flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper and cayenne in shallow dish. Dip chicken first into buttermilk, then into flour mix to coat completely.Heat oil in a large skillet and fry chicken over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and cooked through. Serves 4. Estimated time: 10 minutes.
