- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- orange extract - 1 tsp
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
How to make buttermilk cake:
Beat sugar, Crisco and eggs well. Add soda to buttermilk and add to egg mixture. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add to egg mixture. Add flavoring and blend well. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
