  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/3 c
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • Bring to boil, stirring constantly
  • powdered uguar

How to make buttermilk brownies:

Combine cocoa, 1 cup water and margarine. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Mix flour, sugar, soda and salt. Stir in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add cocoa mixture; stir until blended. Put in a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch greased pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.Frosting:1/4 c. butter3 Tbsp. buttermilk3 Tbsp. cocoa2 1/4 c. powdered uguar1/2 c. nuts1/2 tsp. vanilla Cook and stir the butter, buttermilk and cocoa until boiling. Remove from heat. Add the powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla.
